Before moving in: the only day the house stands naked
Cleaning an empty home has nothing in common with routine upkeep: plinths, tops of cupboards, cupboard interiors and window rails all become reachable. This is the day to treat everything — dust sinks into radiators and glazing still carries the sparkle of old paint spatter.
